Bradfield Parish Archives
The archives are an extensive collection of records and maps dating from the 18th century. The Archivist is available on Thursdays from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Many of the archive documents have now been digitised and are now available on the internet at the Bradfield Archives web site. This was made possible by funding from East Peak Innovation Partnership (EPIP) and South Yorkshire Community Foundation (SYCF).

Bradfield Parish Archives On-line
During 2009 a grant was obtained to digitise the archive records held in Bradfield Parish Council Offices and these were scanned as images only.
Volunteers have been busy indexing the images by people and place names to make them more searchable.
We are looking for volunteers, if you would like to help in this project please contact us.
These are a unique collection of records relating to the Civil Parish of Bradfield and as far as we are aware they do not exist in any other form so the project should help anyone searching family/local/social history.
The images are available for anyone world-wide to research and an added feature is a "Soundex" system which allows you research similar sounding names. All the indexing has been entered as the names were written on the original documents and have not been corrected to today's considered spellings.
Copies of these images may be purchased - please contact us for details.
Once this phase has been completed more images will be added.
